Do you tongue scrape?! 😛 Because you really, really should. 🦠

Not only does it help aid oral hygiene and help combat bad breath, but it has a direct effect on our gut microbiome. Believe it or not, our bodies microbiome is responsible for keeping us immune to chromic conditions. Many common chronic conditions―obesity, inflammation, stroke, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, heart disease, and cancer, among others―often have their origins in the mouth.

If you feel fatigued, in a state of mental fog, have body aches, or often get sick, it could be linked directly to our mouth!

I personally take a wholistic approach to my health, especially my oral health. Here are some of my best tips:

1. Tongue scrape every day! Don't just brush your tongue, it's not enough!

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

2. Get rid of fluoride. It's in your toothpaste, mouthwash, and even your WATER! The harmful effects of fluoride are numerous. I use the @therabreath green bottle, because it also doesn't have sugar. Why wash your teeth with sugar? 🙅‍♀️ I also use @drsheffieldsnaturals toothpaste. You can amazon it straight to your door. I drink the cleanest water with a fluoride filter. I use @berkey_filters.

3. Oil pull! What's that? Use a tablespoon of extra virgin coconut oil and swish it in your mouth for 10-20 minutes

(I do this when I'm in the shower). It'll kill bacteria in your mouth and greatly improve your oral hygiene!
