“My Husband says my arms are getting ‘thick’.”⠀

I actually overheard this before a class last week. I was astonished. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Not only that he said it, but that this beautiful woman on my screen let that comment become so rooted in her head, she felt the need to immediately get into a class to ‘tone down her arms”.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Ladies, this actually hurts me. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Every time I hear a woman pick herself apart at the expense of a comment from ANYONE, a part of me dies. We are all beautiful, individual creatures. We must explore and develop a love for our bodies, even when they aren’t our best. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Our bodies do amazing things for us everyday. They help us walk, run, breathe, love, carry our children, hug our friends, think clearly and insightfully, wake us up in the morning, bring us to sleep when we need rest. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I ask you today to find one thing you said to yourself that was negative about yout body and take one thing from the list above to be grateful for instead. Say that thing to yourself 10 times right now. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

For me I’m saying, “ This body helps me love, everyday” 10 times. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

What are you saying?
