This is what happens when you stop making excuses and JUST👏 START👏MOVING👏


Starting an exercise regimen might be the biggest mind F*ck out there. NO ONE wants to start. Your desire for change, health and happiness must be greater than the total mindf*ck you’re about to go through.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

1.The first workouts or 3 suck. You’re not strong, get winded easily, and may want to give up 70 times. It’s important you try again 71 times. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

2.Then the change happens. It starts by being able to get through a class, or add weight or add reps. Then you feel stronger. You look in the mirror and notice small changes. Then that post-workout high starts to happen, and you’ve got momentum. This is one of my favorite parts. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

3.Then the plateau. Oh yes, a bump in the road. The little voice that says “I’m tired today, I think I’ll sleep in” or “I totally deserve this chocolate chip cookie.” Did you hit your goal yet? I’m sorry, then that’s a no... You must ignore that little voice. This is where discipline comes in. This is where you must refocus on your initial goal.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

4.So you struggle to keep it up. The next few days or weeks become monotonous. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

5.And then… Your clothes start to fit in the way you’ve been dreaming of. Your friends are JEALOUS of your tighter arms and stronger legs. You feel freaking fabulous and health and fitness are in the bag. You’ve done it and you’re not turning back. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I’ve been through these phases myself several times. Reminding myself of what stage I currently am on in the journey helps me stay on track. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This is the no-BS truth. There’s no magic shake or special workout. There’s no shortcuts here. The journey might not be easy, but it’s worth every second. You’ll get there soon, my friend. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
