Tabletop Side Knee Press Tutorial
The Move of the Week is Tabletop Side Knee Press!
This barre move works the quads, glutes and obliques and is a very technical and specific move. Here are a few key points:
Set up with 1 forearm and the other palm on the ground, knees directly under hips.
Maintain shoulders square to the floor and keep the low ribs in toward the spine.
Be sure the hips and torso stay still to ensure abdominal engagement, especially with the obliques!
Maintain external rotation and the hip as you pull the knee toward the elbow and flex the foot.
As you come back out, extend the leg long and high, while maintaining abdominal engagement.
